Questions

FAQ

Is ROAR a real medical practice?

Yes. ROAR is physician-owned and every treatment decision is made by a licensed physician after reviewing your intake and, where indicated, your labs. We are not a supplement brand or a questionnaire funnel.

Which states do you serve?

Telehealth services are currently available to patients located in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. In-clinic treatments are performed at our clinical facility.

How is ROAR different from Hims or Roman?

Three ways: a full workup rather than a questionnaire, physician monitoring that actually happens on schedule, and a published evidence grade on every treatment — including the unflattering grades.

Do you take insurance?

ROAR is a self-pay practice with transparent pricing. We can provide documentation for HSA/FSA use where applicable.

Is testosterone safe?

TRT is well-studied, including the TRAVERSE cardiovascular outcomes trial — and it is only safe when prescribed to men who need it, with scheduled monitoring of blood counts, estradiol, and prostate markers. That monitoring is built into every ROAR protocol, not offered as an upsell.

Where do your GLP-1 medications come from?

Sourcing is disclosed transparently during your consult, and we only work with licensed pharmacies. We’ll always tell you exactly what you’re getting.

What does the evidence grade on each treatment mean?

A means multiple randomized trials and guideline endorsement. B means positive controlled trials with real limitations. C means emerging evidence — nothing C-graded is currently on our menu. See the full framework on our Evidence page.

Can ROAR handle serious mental health or substance concerns?

Our mental wellness program is intentionally light-touch. But ROAR was founded by a board-certified psychiatrist and addiction physician, so when screening shows someone needs more, we connect you directly to appropriate specialty care — a real handoff, not a phone list.

How fast do I get treated?

Most telehealth intakes are reviewed within one business day. If labs are needed, treatment typically starts within days of your results.
